The thin line displays the current running fuel the ship has, while the segmented bar shows how much fuel is in the main tank.ĭisplays a variety of information. Fuel displays a number that shows how much fuel the ship is currently using per hour, per tons. The signature shows how much heat the ship is emitting into space, flatter meaning less heat is being emitted. The fuel is displayed here as a number, thin line, and a segmented bar, along with the signature that is displayed as a waveform. Mass Locked means that your ship is too close to an object that disrupts its ability to use FSD, Landing Gear means that your landing gear is deployed, and Cargo Scoop means that the cargo scoop is deployed. The indicators are active when the box is lit up with blue. There are three indicators listed here: Mass Locked, Landing Gear, and Cargo Scoop. The System capacitor is in charge of shield and ship system integrity, the Engine capacitor is in charge of maximum speed, optimum maneuverability range, and top boost speed in the engine, and the Weapons capacitor is in charge of cooling down weapons faster, reducing overheating problems. At maximum pips, the capacitor will recharge at maximum speed, while at no pips, it will not recharge at all. Each capacitor can only have a maximum of 4 pips. You can only have 6 pips at any given time for all 3 capacitors. Energy in each capacitor is filled based on how many pips are allocated to that capacitor. Below the hologram is the hull health.ĭisplays the current power distribution between the three ship capacitors: System, Engine, and Weapons. When these rings become red, that means they are disabled. There will also be blue rings around your ship, which indicates a full shield. The blue section indicates the optimal speed for turning.ĭisplays a holographic image of your ship, the position of incoming damage, and its orientation. If the line is above the marker, then it is above the ship, and if the line is below the marker, then it is below the ship.ĭisplays your current speed along with the current throttle and how fast the ship is moving compared to it's normal maximum speed. The lines connecting ship markers to the scanner show if the object is below or above the ship. These can be shown in various colors and shapes, indicating information about each individual contact. Objects are shown on the scanner depending on their position to the player's ship. Likewise, when it is towards the left, the scanning range will be at it's smallest. When the marker is towards the right, it is set to maximum. ![]() The yellow marker in the gauge directly underneath the scanner shows the scanning range. There are few ways that a ship can overheat, as normally heat is radiated away from the ship via vents, such as flying too close to a star or using too many heat inducing modules.ĭisplays contacts and signals in the area. Indicates the current temperature of the ship, at around 150% it will begin to take damage. The target will be an outline if the target is behind the ship. Displays the compass, which will show a white circle that indicates the position of your target relative to the ships.
